Describe your role at Content Matterz:

I am responsible for bringing in new business and also partnering with our Content Strategists to expand relationships with existing clients. Also, as a member of the Leadership Team, I get the opportunity to help shape the future of Content Matterz.

Give us some background; why are you here, now:
 I have been at Content Matterz since the end of January 2022 but have held business development/sales roles for my 15+ year professional career — I spent time in professional services, legal tech, proptech and commercial real estate. Crossing paths with Cara during one of my roles opened my eyes to the amazing things that can happen when Marketing & Sales act as true partners — and also showed me the critical role content plays in that. It was a no-brainer when I had the opportunity to work with Cara again.

What’s a fun fact that makes you, you?
I am almost always up for a challenge. As an athlete, running was part of almost all conditioning and I loathed it, that is until I challenged myself to run the Chicago Marathon in 2008 — go big or go home, right?

What do you enjoy doing outside of your 9-to-5?
I am a mom of three girls, so I spend most of my non-work time carting them around to activities and hanging out, coaching youth softball, Wednesday night golf league, family time, date nights with my hubby, spinning, weight lifting and enjoying a good glass of wine or ice cold seltzer.

What/who inspires your life?
I am inspired daily by my three daughters, my husband and my sister who is also my BFF. They inspire me to be my best self, work hard and leave this world better than how I came to it. I am inspired to leave a legacy for my daughters that is one they can be proud of.

What motivates you to do what you do here, and how do you contribute to the client experience
I am motivated by what we do. I've been in sales my entire career and have personally seen success and revenue driven from content that supports a goal — I am passionate about the connection between the two. I am also motivated by the amazing team, talent, teamwork and the culture. I contribute to the customer experience by helping strategists expand on the great work we've already done, think outside the box for solutions and I also work to build a strong pipeline of new clients.
